This project involved the design and delivery of a fully electric, eco-friendly home built for exceptional energy efficiency and minimal running costs.
With no gas connection, the property achieves a high level of self-sufficiency through a 20.8 kW solar system comprising 52 × 400 W Hyundai panels, paired with two Sungrow SBR battery stacks providing a total of 51.2 kWh of storage. A MyEnergi Zappi EV charger with CT clamps allows the homeowners to utilise excess solar generation for vehicle charging, further reducing reliance on the grid.
Smart home integration includes Clipsal C-Bus lighting controlled via Savant, a Sonos audio system, Inner Range security, and hot-wire underfloor heating. Total energy costs have fallen to approximately $2 per day, including supply charges. All system performance is monitored through the iSolar Cloud platform, providing real-time visibility, control, and long-term performance tracking.
